Proverbs 19:8 The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper * live2eat

Ask for wisdom

Wisdom in its simplest essence, is derived from experience analysed, knowledge gained, intuitive thought, introspective contemplation, intellectual enquiry and exhaustive persistence driven by a burning desire, guided by a force within.

Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is power. Lao-Tzu

11 Forgotten Laws

Maharishi Power that Lies Within

"Knowledge comes from the coming together of the knower, the process of knowing, and the object of knowing - knowledge blossoms in the togetherness of knower, knowing, and known . Unbound awareness - it is pure wakefulness; it is fully awake within itself; it knows only itself and nothing else. It is all three itself". Maharishi

Prov 2.1-11   The Benefits of Wisdom

My child, listen to what I say,

      and treasure my commands.
2 Tune your ears to wisdom,
      and concentrate on understanding.
 3 Cry out for insight,
      and ask for understanding.
 4 Search for them as you would for silver;
      seek them like hidden treasures.
5 Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord,
and you will gain knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord grants wisdom!
From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
7 He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest.
He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.
8 He guards the paths of the just
and protects those who are faithful to him.

9 Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair,
and you will find the right way to go.
10 For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will fill you with joy.
11 Wise choices will watch over you.
      Understanding will keep you safe

Stanza 169 of the "Shes-rab sdong-bu" (Tree of Wisdom) of Nagarjuna (ca 100BC) translation 1955 by Professor Chen Chi Chang ...  "Although a man may be book learned, if he does not apply in his behavior to what he knows, he is as a blind man,who even with a lamp in his hand cannot see the road.

"In the foreword to Maria Montessori's book, Dr. Buckminister Fuller wrote that out of 10,000 children that are born in the world, 9,999 of them will be systematically de-geniused by the time they reach 5th grade."  - Paul Scheele

A Butterfly's Lesson

"One day, a small opening appeared in a cocoon; a man sat and watched for the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.

Then, it seems to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could not go any further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly: he took a pair of scissors to open the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a withered body, it was tiny and had shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would open, enlarge and expand, to be able to support the butterfly's body, and become firm.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a withered body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his knowledge and his good will did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening, were nature's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings, so that it would be ready to flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes, struggles are exactly what we need in our life.

If we were allowed to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been. Never been able to fly.

I asked for Strength . . . and I was given Difficulties to make me Strong.

I asked for Wisdom . . . and I was given Problems to Solve.

I asked for Prosperity . . .and I was given a Brain and Brawn to Serve

I asked for Courage . . . and I was given Obstacles to Overcome.

I asked for Love . . . Unconditional love and I was given Troubled people to Serve/Help.

I asked for Favours . . . and I was given Opportunities.

"I received nothing I wanted . . . But I received EVERYTHING I needed."

Fear of Change/Mortality  (HSC Area of Study: Change, Journey, Belonging) themes in Romantic Poetry,Ode to Grecian Urn, Kubla Khan, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, AnalysisT.S. Eliot, "Eliot's early poetry also develops a series of characters who fit the type of the modern person as described by Fitzgerald, Faulkner, and others of Eliot's contemporaries. The title character of "Prufrock" is a perfect example: solitary, neurasthenic, overly intellectual, and utterly incapable of expressing himself to the outside world". "The quartets offer ways around human limits through art and spirituality. The pastiche of the earlier works is replaced by philosophy and logic, and the formal experiments of his early years are put aside in favor of a new language consciousness, which emphasizes the sounds and other physical properties of words to create musical, dramatic, and other subtle effects".- sparknotes.

How To Make One Hell of a Profit & Still Get to Heaven  John Demartini

Dear friend

Giving is the 1st pillar of creating Enlightened Wealth

"When two people come together with the intention of giving maximum, both receive maximum." Give not according to your desires but according to your powers/abilities. When you give it will return 3-fold, karma.

This is a fundamental law of nature. Business is about giving value. Relationships are about giving love and understanding. It is through giving that we increase abundance in our world.

Each of us is unique. We each have unique gifts Your gifts, whatever they may be, are for the purpose of increasing abundance in the world. You may do that emotionally, mentally, physically/materially, or spiritually. However you give your gifts, you increase the abundance in the world. Likewise, when you are not giving your gifts, there is less abundance.

Giving has two effects. One is the obvious, the other is subtle, and often unseen. Buckminster Fuller described the subtle effects as "precession." He said that the real effects of any action happen at 90 degrees to the action.

The example he gave was of a bee. The bee goes from flower to flower collecting honey. Collecting honey is the bee's intent. Yet in the process, the bee collects pollen and then deposits some of that pollen with the next flower. Through this precessionary process cross-pollination occurs.

When you give to another two effects are created. The obvious effect is the benefit the recipient gains from your gift. The subtle effect is the influence created by the giving. When the giving is with an open heart, without expectation of receiving something in return, a subtle influence is created which produces results that can not be predicted in advance.

Notice this in your life and you will find that most of the good (or bad) things which happen to you are the result of the subtle influences created by your actions. When your actions are based on giving with an open heart and mind, then things show up which never could have been predicted in advance.

You can only give what you have to give. You can only give VALUE if you have VALUE. You can only give LOVE if you have LOVE.

You can only give what you have to give. Therefore, the fundamental principle of giving is to give to your self, even as you give to others. If you give to others, without giving to your self, then sooner or later, you will be depleted and unable to give any more.

Thus, enlightened giving is balanced giving. Giving which takes into account all parties to any transaction. This is the real meaning of "win-win."

You never know where you're going, until you know where you've been.

Wherever You Are, BE There               by Jim Rohn

One of the major reasons why we fail to find happiness or to create unique lifestyle is because we have not yet mastered the art of being.

While we are home our thoughts are still absorbed with solving the challenges we face at the office. And when we are at the office we find ourselves worrying about problems at home. We go through the day without really listening to what others are saying to us. We may be hearing the words, but we aren't absorbing the message. As we go through the day we find ourselves focusing on past experiences or future possibilities.

We are so involved in yesterday and tomorrow that we never even notice that today is slipping by. We go through the day rather than getting something from the day.

We are everywhere at any given moment in time except living in that moment in time.

Lifestyle is learning to be wherever you are. It is developing a unique focus on the current moment, and drawing from it all of the substance and wealth of experience and emotions that it has to offer.

Lifestyle is taking time to watch a sunset. Lifestyle is listening to silence. Lifestyle is capturing each moment so that it becomes a new part of what we are and of what we are in the process of becoming. Lifestyle is not something we do; it is something we experience. And until we learn to be there, we will never master the art of living well.
